Thatchings is in close proximity to the Central Drakensberg, Sani Pass, the Zulu and Anglo-Boer war Battlefields and the San Rock Art Centre all within a 2 hours drive.
Thatchings lies in a beautiful setting of ancient pine trees, rolling lawns, azalea shrubs and hydrangeas which overlook a picturesque trout dam.
The guest house has title to five hectares of land and is completely surrounded by 300 ha of private game estate. With no fences to inhibit them, impala, zebras, wildebeest and duikers frequently wander onto the property, which makes for an uplifting experience for guests.
