Description

Situated a mere four kilometres from Hluhluwe Town (and on the access road to Hluhluwe IMfolozi National Park), Ubizane Wildlife Reserve is a dream wildlife experience for any visitor. Our privately-owned, low-risk malaria reserve sprawls over an expanse of 1200 hectares. It’s also teeming with wildlife which include White Rhino, Giraffe, Wildebeest, Zebra and the majority of antelope species, as well as over 450 bird species of birdlife. The landscape alone is breathtaking and varies beginning with our remarkable Fever Tree Woodland and its associated wetlands. Then, visitors can catch a glimpse of the distinct tourism infrastructure from natural areas, the diversity of wildlife and typical Zululand vegetated landscape, and the seasonal Mzinene River that snakes through the reserve. Our location also allows them to travel in the surrounding area, including the greater St. Lucia World Heritage Site.
