KZN TOURISM & FILM CALL FOR PROPOSALS

The KwaZulu-Natal Tourism & Film invites existing tourism products and experiences across KwaZulu-Natal to apply for financial support through the Tourism Products & Experiences Enhancement Programme.

This programme aims to support tourism SMMEs in enhancing their tourism offerings, improving competitiveness, and strengthening market readiness within the tourism sector.

WHAT SHOULD THE PROPOSAL INCLUDE?

Applicants are required to specify the following:

  • Type of business
  • Details of the business owner
  • The domestic and/or international markets serviced by the enterprise
  • The type of support required from KZN Tourism & Film

CONDITIONS FOR THE PROVISION OF SUPPORT:

  • Submission of the online application form is compulsory.
  • A detailed project proposal and supporting documents are required for consideration.
  • KZN Tourism & Film will not provide direct funding to businesses, but will procure approved services/products on behalf of qualifying beneficiaries.
  • Qualifying beneficiaries will be required to provide three quotations from reputable service providers for the requested support/services.
  • A supplier/service provider will be appointed by KZN Tourism & Film to render the required services.
  • Successful beneficiaries will be required to sign a contract with KZN Tourism & Film prior to the provision of support.
  • The support grant amount will be capped at R100 000.00 per beneficiary.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:

Applicants must provide the following:

  • Registered business with CIPC or equivalent business registration authority.
  • BBBEE Certificate/Affidavit.
  • Submission of a Valid Tax Pin from SARS.
  • Proof of residence (municipal utility bill, lease agreement, or stamped letter from local councillor).
  • Business must employ more than one employee, including temporary staff.
  • Business must have been operational for a minimum of two years.
  • Priority will be given to businesses that have not previously received similar government funding, in the past three (3) years.

IMPORTANT NOTICE:

All applicants will be required to submit supporting documents as proof of compliance with the above criteria. Failure to provide the required documentation will result in a disqualification.
