-Ensure that all media needed for editing is available, liaise with the script to double check.

-Conduct thorough checks to identify and address and corrupt footage.

-Verify synced media and utilise continuity notes for double-checking and maintaining visual consistency.

-Create project files and organise material in relevant bins.

-Prepare rough assemblies by monitoring how the editor is bringing the story together.

-Create enticing Next on and Prev ons for relevant episodes.

-Stand-in to view with the director when Editor is unable to attend the viewing.
