MEDIA WORK EXPERIENCE

News Video Editor, SABC
 Working together with journalists to make a visual representation of the story they go out to cover.
 Responsible for the overall packaging of the story as well as the quality of picture and sound.
 Archiving media footage on the correct catalogue specifying correct dates and slugs for future use.

Skills and Abilities:
 Able to work under pressure. Working at the SABC and on the news department is the ultimate test of working under pressure as we work on live news.
 Fast system editing – Avid-Liquid edition; Vortex; Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere Pro
 Logging, transcribing, translating and archiving.
 Maintaining continuity on a shoot
 Assisting with sound and camera.
 Use of computer applications.

Accounts Assistant, MOONLIGHTING FILMS
 Supporting the Accounts Department by performing clerical tasks, including processing and recording transactions, banking, filing and other duties as needed.
 This was the filming of Racing Stripes Movie, which was an international film production, filmed in Pietermaritzburg and Nottingham Road, South Africa.
