Overview

With over a decade in video production, Jared is a skilled cinematographer whose craft blends technical precision with visual storytelling. He is a graduate of the Durban University of Technology, where he won numerous awards for his mountain biking film (Gravity) in partial fulfilment of his BTech in Video Technology. Over the years Jared has built up a diverse portfolio of work that includes commercials, documentaries, sports, and feature films.

He has filmed globally - from touring the world with the Proteas cricket team to capturing behind-the-scenes footage at the Tour de France.

His work in Rwanda documenting the Raid: Certified Care programme aimed at training community care-givers won a Gold Lion at Cannes in 2023, and two commercials he has filmed have been Loeries finalists in recent year.

His lens has focused on both adrenaline-fuelled sport and deeply human social justice stories. Jared’s feature film work has included the award-winning Dreams of Gomorrah, and now Gods Work.
